A nationally known saxophone player from Torricella Sicura, Orfeo Di Eugenio, played with orchestras all over the Italian peninsula. He reached the peak of popularity in the 1970’s before his untimely death. In September 2008 a musical presentation dedicated to his memory was conducted in the town center.
Every year in the month of February, the town of Torricella Sicura celebrates the “Festa del maiale” (feast of the pig). The 2009 celebrations was the 13th annual festivity of this kind in recent years. During the feast there are dances, food exhibitions, and of course, a great number of delicious meals featuring pork. One of the most famous is arrosticini, skewers of pork cooked on an open grill. Pork sausages are also a highlight of this cherished annual event..
